In August of 2009, Jay and I put together this list. It’s our 101 in 1001 days list and it’s a list of things we’d like to finish or accomplish in 1001 days. We started this list on August 7, 2009 and May 4, 2012 will be our 1001 day deadline! It’s crazy how much time has gone by since we compiled this list. As I was updating the list I was also astounded at how much of this I would change if I could redo the list. And it also reminded me of some of the goals that we set that we’ve lost our way on a little bit. It’s really interesting how much you can change in just a little over a year. If I was creating this list today, it would look a lot different, that’s for sure! But I’m not going to change the list. I’m going to finish what we started and see how much of it we can accomplish before May 4, 2012. I am excited though, to create a new list once this one is over. It’s been a great way to reach our own personal goals and to look back and remember how much we’ve done and to be reminded of the things we’d still like to do! So I thought you’d like to see our updates here.
If you haven’t done it yet, I encourage you to start your own 101 list. I will warn you though, thinking of 101 goals you’d like to reach is not as easy as you’d think! It took us quite awhile to put together this list and we were so jazzed when we finished it. We weren’t expecting it to be so difficult, but coming up with 101 things is a bit challenging! It was a great challenge though and makes you think about what’s important to you and what goals you’d like to complete. Not only that, but it gives you a deadline to complete it all in so it’s not SO overwhelming. It was a fun project for us, even though I’d change the list a bit now. It’s amazing how much you change in a year and a half. And now that I’m in my late twenties (YIKES) I find myself changing more than ever and also settling into who I am somewhat. So that’s kinda cool.
Check out our list! And stay tuned for the next one. Well, in 2012.
