27 years

It’s weird that 27 years ago today I was in the process of arriving into this world. My mom always tells me that it went so fast. That we grew up so fast and to try to enjoy every second of motherhood because it goes, well… fast.

I’m already finding that my time with Cruz has gone so fast. And in 27 years, I’m sure I’ll be telling him how fast it goes and encouraging him to take in every second of his children- my grandchildren.

That is crazy.

Every birthday sort of has taken on a new meaning for me now that I am a mamma. Every moment is precious. Every birthday is special. Every day is new.

My mom always treated our childhood like this. And I have some great memories of growing up with her and my sisters. We were just reminiscing about it over dinner on Saturday night.

I want Cruz to cherish his childhood too. And to grow up knowing how much Jason and I love him.

I’m soaking in these precious days I have with Cruz. Because the next 27 years is going to fly by quickly I’m afraid.
