I am a full time stay at home/full time working mamma of two little boys, Cruz and Rider. Cruz is almost four years old and Rider is almost two years old. So, it’s safe to say I have my hands full these days! I love being a mom, no matter how challenging and exhausting it is. I’ve been married to my husband, Jason for almost nine years (yes NINE- for those of you who knew us when we got married- NINE. Crazy right?) and I am truly living a blessed life. Jason is a fabulous husband, friend, companion, musician, photographer and so much more. He is my equal in this life and we do most things together.
In 2009, Jason and I started our own company, Session Nine Photography, which has turned into a completely full time job for us. We are passionate about people, love, friendship, humanity. And we strive to capture it all through pictures. To say that we love what we do would be a complete understatement. And there isn’t one single day that goes by that I don’t appreciate and love what we do. And that I get to do it while I’m still in my pajama’s if I want to. I love working from home and wouldn’t change it for anything, although it’s not always the easiest thing to do. You know, work full time with two little monkey’s climbing up your legs (aka my kids).
I started this blog in 2009, a few months after Cruz was born. It started out as a place to sort of ramble my thoughts, get connected with other mom’s and share our lives with others. I was hoping for at least a handful of readers and my wildest expectations were surpassed by those of you who follow me on this journey regularly! In turn, this blog has really turned into so much more for me. I’ve written about it before- this blog saved me in a lot of ways. It’s really turned into my journal of sorts. A journal of this mom who has no idea what she’s doing and is taking it one day at a time. It’s not perfect. It’s not easy. I don’t always like it. But I do love them. I wouldn’t trade any of this for anything. Not one single thing.
Although washing my hair more often would be nice. Just keepin’ it real.
